Celebrate Freedom: Iowa Juneteenth

As we approach Juneteenth and step into a month of reflection, learning, and celebration, Mays History on Tap invites you to grab a drink and get informed for the weeks ahead. This May, we’re proud to feature Dwana Bradley for a meaningful conversation centered on Iowa Juneteenth and the evolving meaning of freedom.

Freedom is more than a word; it is a journey rooted in sacrifice, resilience, and purpose. In this presentation, we honor what freedom meant to those who came before us, examine what it looks like today, and challenge ourselves to shape what it will become as America turns 250. Through Iowa Juneteenth, we create space not only to celebrate freedom but also to live it in our communities actively.
