Learning Beyond the Classroom!
Keep your child learning and engaged outside of school hours with programming at the Putnam Museum and Science Center. Whether they’re interested in music around the world, chemistry experiments, or building better bridges – there’s a program for them!
Explorers and Jr. Explorers takes place on the first Saturday of every month during the school year. Each workshop covers a different topic, with Explorers being tailored for 3rd to 5th graders and Jr. Explorers for kindergarteners to 2nd graders.
Putnam Camps are set up during regular school breaks to help keep your child engaged and having fun! The camps are offered for full or half days to different age groups.
Chemistry for Kids occurs once a month, on a Saturday, during the school year. A professional chemist will lead an engaging workshop while your child preforms fun chemistry experiments!
The Fab Lab holds drop-in workshops where your child can explore things like technology, physics, and engineering through hands-on learning. From dash-and-drop robots to 3D pens, there’s something for everyone. The Fab Lab is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 12 pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30 to 5 pm.
