Learning Beyond the Classroom!
Keep your child learning and engaged outside of school hours with Education for Kids at the Putnam Museum and Science Center. Whether they’re interested in music around the world, chemistry experiments, or building better bridges – there’s a program for them!
Preschool Education programs designed to spark curiosity and support early learning. With a mix of in-museum and outreach experiences, our programs encourage hands-on exploration, thoughtful use of technology, and student‑centered activities that engage young learners.
Putnam Camps are set up during regular school breaks to help keep your child engaged and having fun! The camps are offered for full or half days to different age groups.
Chemistry for Kids occurs once a month, on a Saturday, during the school year. A professional chemist will lead an engaging workshop while your child preforms fun chemistry experiments!
The Fab Lab holds drop-in workshops where your child can explore things like technology, physics, and engineering through hands-on learning. From dash-and-drop robots to 3D pens, there’s something for everyone. The Fab Lab is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 12 pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30 to 5 pm.
