Learn About World Cultures through Artifacts
The World Culture Gallery hosts an array of incredible artifacts. Many of these were collected and donated by world travelers from the Quad Cities, who sought to help the community learn about other ways of living through the unique objects found across the world.
You can read more about the artifacts here.
As part of the World Culture Gallery, we have a rotating exhibit which focuses on a more specific section of the world and expands our understanding of it.
Currently, Akwaaba: Journey to West Africa is on view. The exhibit is co-curated with Nana Ouro-Agoro who serves on the board of Quad Cities Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees, represents the United African Organization, and is herself an immigrant from Togo arriving in the Quad Cities in 2008.
