Every third Thursday, we’ll be serving up fascinating talks on a variety of topics, all while you enjoy a cold brew or your favorite beverage.
Join us for History on Tap, featuring Ashley Howard, Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa and author of “Midwest Unrest: 1960s Urban Rebellions and the Black Freedom Movement”. An exploration of the powerful stories of Iowans who challenged injustice and helped shape the civil rights movement in the Midwest. This presentation highlights Iowa’s often-overlooked role in advancing equality, opportunity, and the ongoing pursuit of the American promise.
