The 3:15 showing will feature “Magnetism.” Recommended for grades 4 and up, viewers will learn how the Earth’s magnetic field protects our planet from energetic particles that radiate from the Sun and our galaxy. See how they shield the water in our atmosphere from being swept away by solar winds, and witness the beautiful aurora seen from both Earth and the ISS. Follow the Magnetospheric Multiscale Mission and its quest to understand the magnetic connection between the Earth and the Sun.
