Dance Me A Story – Dex: The Heart of a Hero

We are excited to partner with Ballet Quad Cities for Dance Me A Story in coordination with our featured exhibit Tails from Tales: Storybook Beasts. This is a fun interactive dance activity for people of all ages encouraging reading through the vehicle of ballet.

Dance Me A Story gives the participant a physical and imaginative way of interpreting a piece of literature, Dex: The Heart of a Hero, by taking specific passages from a book and translating the words into creative movement. Participants learn about fine arts and how choreographers use literature to inspire the creation of their ballets.
