The Revolutionary War Screening & Discussion Panel
A Story 250 Years in the Making.
Join WQPT PBS’s local screenings and discussion panels that will raise our region’s awareness of THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a new six-part, 12-hour documentary directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt that examines the history of America’s founding. In addition to discussing the excerpts from the documentary, these local screenings will include discussions of the often-overlooked history of the role our Quad City community played as the location of the western-most battle of the war.
The members of our discussion panel will include local authors, historians, teachers, and Johnathan Buffalo, Historical Preservation Director of the Meskwaki Nation, Sac and Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa.
