Presented by the Arthur A. Collins Legacy Association
On December 21, 1968, Apollo 8 became the first crewed spaceflight to leave Earth’s orbit and fly to the Moon. For six historic days, astronauts Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and Bill Anders relied on equipment and a pioneering communications system developed by Collins Radio, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and its subcontractors.
The documentary, Moon Talk, features rare 16mm film footage, historic photographs, and interviews with Collins employees who recall their experiences working on the Apollo program and the technology that helped make lunar exploration possible.
