Space Day at the Putnam

Join us for Space Day at the Putnam! Along with all the museum’s regular exhibits and experiences, guests can enjoy special space-themed activities, explore Apollo-era artifacts, meet local space enthusiasts, and catch a screening of Moon Talk.

Featured as part of the event is Moon Talk, a documentary presented by the Arthur A. Collins Legacy Association. The film looks back at the critical role Collins Radio played in making communication between Earth and the Moon possible during the Apollo missions.

In addition to the documentary screening, you can explore a special display of Apollo-era Collins equipment, models, and artifacts. Representatives from the Arthur A. Collins Legacy Association will be on-site to answer questions, share insights, and explain how this groundbreaking technology helped shape the success of America’s lunar missions.

Members of the local astronomy club will also be joining the event to share their passion for space exploration, astronomy, and stargazing. Meet astronomy enthusiasts, ask questions, and learn more about the wonders of our solar system and beyond!

$1 from every movie ticket sold will be donated to the Arthur A. Collins Legacy Association to support STEM education activities and inspire future generations of innovators.
