Discover a World of Color and Curiosity

Members are invited to Join us on Friday, March 13, from 5–7 PM for the opening of Kaleidoscope Odyssey. This vibrant new exhibit celebrates the art, science, and wonder of kaleidoscopes through 24 giant, interactive pieces created by world‑renowned artist, and Davenport native, Tom Chouteau.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy two live demonstrations with Tom Chouteau at 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM, offering a behind‑the‑scenes look at the creativity and craftsmanship that bring these mesmerizing optical experiences to life. Mr. Chouteau will also host workshops for all ages and work from his on‑site studio inside the exhibit, where visitors can explore how kaleidoscopes are built and discover the science behind their shifting patterns of color, light, and reflection.

Family‑friendly activities will add to the fun, including face painting, hands‑on discovery stations, a scavenger hunt, and more. Whether you’re captivated by the vibrant textures, intrigued by the mirrors and mechanics, or simply delighted by seeing yourself reflected in stunning geometric designs, Kaleidoscope Odyssey promises an unforgettable evening of creativity and curiosity. We can’t wait to celebrate this dazzling new exhibit with our members!
