What Traveled the Silk Road?

Every third Thursday, we’ll be serving up fascinating talks on a variety of topics, all while you enjoy a cold brew or your favorite beverage.
Join Putnam Museum Curator of History and Anthropology Christinia Kastell for an exploration of the ancient Silk Road between Europe and China. Through artifacts and stories from the Putnam Museum Collection, discover how goods, ideas, religions, technologies, and even diseases traveled this vast network of trade routes. Would some of the world’s major religions and historic pandemics have spread so far without Silk Road travelers? Explore the far-reaching impact of one of history’s most influential connections.
