Girl Scouts Engineering Day

Think Like an Engineer!

Join up with other Junior Girl Scouts to complete the “Think Like an Engineer” badge! This is a free, full day event with engineering activities and a screening of Dream Big: Think Like an Engineer. There will be Putnam Educators and professional engineers to help guide the girls through drop-in activities. The activities feature design challenges and hands-on learning opportunities to encourage the students to explore, experiment, and problem solve.

This day is in partnership with our local Girl Scout Council and the programs are funded by Voya STEM Futures, a program of the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC), generously supported by the Voya Foundation.

This includes free admission into the museum. Upon completion of the activities, girls will be given their badge.* Juliette scouts and troops must be accompanied by an adult.

10:00 – 10:50 Drop-In Badge Activities

11:00 – 11:45 Dream Big: Think Like an Engineer

11:45 – 1:00 Lunch. Pizza will be provided.

12:30 – 5:30 Drop-In Badge Activities

*Badge activities will take around 1.5 hours.
