Help Lead Fun & Learning
Our popular camp programs are a great opportunity for volunteers who enjoy spending time with small groups of kids. Camp themes range from Harry Potter and Zombie Survival to butterflies, the human body, and engineering. Volunteers—working alongside Putnam educators—help make the camp experience special for our young campers by providing assistance with themed activities, assisting staff with preparation of materials, managing the check-in process, and supervising lunch and break-time activities.
Ideal camp volunteers enjoy working with children, variety and can handle multiple environments (outdoors, museum exhibit halls, classrooms, etc.). Camps run during school breaks. Commitment for the duration of the camp is preferred, but not required. Shifts are weekdays from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. and/or 1– 4 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to assist with before care (8–9 a.m., M–F) and after care (4–5 p.m., M–F) for campers who join us for an extended day.
