It's never too early to start planning your summer! Register today to pack your summer full of fun and discovery with amazing experiences at the Putnam Museum!

These great summer camp programs are available for youth entering kindergarten through Grade 8. Before- and after-care is available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for full-day weekly camps only. Additional material costs may apply, and pre-registration is required, as space is limited.

WEEKLONG FULL-DAY CAMPS

Fee: $175 | Members $165 (Additional fees may apply)


Harry Potter

JUNE 18 - 22, 9 AM - 3 PM | Grades 3 - 5 | Register
Hop a train to the Midwest’s premiere wizarding prep school. Complete your wizard apprenticeship by completing Quidditch training and attending classes about potions, charms and more, all while you discover the science secrets behind the magic!
Spells & Potions Fee: $10


Artiste de Voyage

JUNE 25 - 29, 9 AM - 3 PM | Grades 4 - 6 | Register
Campers will experiment with the artistic traditions of history. In this thrilling camp, get creative while examining the STEM processes that make art possible. Explore the different cultures of the world through the depth of their history, legacy and incredible works of art!
Artist fee: $8


Flight Academy

JULY 9 - 13, 9 AM - 3 PM | Grades 4 - 6 | Register
Students take to the skies and explore the thrills of life at 30,000 feet with dynamic, hands-on flight-based activities. Campers will “fly” alongside the aviation experts of the world, taking quick detours to examine the history of flight as they follow in the footsteps of the Wright brothers and da Vinci by creating extraordinary flying machines!

Survival: Camp Z - SOLD OUT!

JULY 30 - AUG. 3, 9 AM - 3 PM | Grades 3 - 5 | SOLD OUT
Gather with other survivalists who hope to hone their awareness and observational skills, while learning wilderness survival tips about navigation, animal tracking and shelter building. Learn to disguise yourself as a zombie and be prepared should we be overrun by zombies at the end of this exciting camp!

Young Meteorologists  

JULY 2 & 3, 9 AM - 3 PM | Grades 3 - 5 | Register
Are you fascinated by the atmospheric phenomenon known to us as weather? Do you have a passion for meteorology? Do you dream of being a storm chaser one day? Join us and other campers as we explore together during this fun two day camp!

Jr. Oceanographers

JUNE 4 - 8, 9 AM - NOON | Grades K - 2 | SOLD OUT
How do animals survive in the deep sea?  Do fish have a sense of smell?  Why do some objects float in the ocean and others sink?  Investigate these questions and more as you learn about the creatures in the ocean and discover how our ocean works.
NOTE: No after-care is available for half-day camps.
 

Code & Go!

JUNE 11 - 15, 9 AM - NOON | Grades K - 2 | SOLD OUT
What do a caterpillar, a mouse and “Dot” have in common? They are basic robots that can be programmed by a child! Campers will have fun as they learn to “play” with these robots and learn a little about coding and programming along the way.

Code, Create, Animate!

JUNE 11 - 15, 1 - 4 PM | Grades 3 - 5 | SOLD OUT
This camp is perfect for kids who have great imaginations, like figuring out how things work or simply love technology. Students will learn basic coding for our resident robots and learn how to code an interactive story or create a game using SCRATCH!

Anyone Can Cook!

JULY 16 - 20, 1 - 4 PM | Grades 2 & 3 | Register
All chefs start with a love of cooking and the need to know kitchen basics. Join us to sharpen your culinary skills, learn some new recipes and cook up some fun!  Local Chefs have been invited to join us this week.

Engineering kids camp

DAILY, 9 AM - 3 PM
Fee: $40


Choose one of the following days:
This camp is an exciting, engaging experience for your young innovator. Fun, imaginative sessions including LEGO® robotics, a GIANT Screen 3D film, the opportunity to create and learn side by side engineers from Iowa State University and the Quad City Engineering & Science Council await your camper!
