Vice President of Marketing & Membership
Join our Executive Team! The Putnam seeks a Vice President of Marketing & Membership to join our dynamic, future-oriented team.
The successful candidate will become a member of a Leadership Team that is committed to the Putnam’s sustained success and impact in the region. This position reports directly to the President/CEO.
This position’s responsibilities are focused on gaining customer loyalty and generating profitable admissions revenue. The approaches are multi-faceted
and include:
Brand strategy and organization-wide brand promise fulfillment.
Market research; target market plan development and execution.
Interdepartmental teamwork that ensures customer delight and loyalty.
All forms of public communications – advertising, media relations, electronic and social media.
Promotional activities and events determination and oversight.
Member recruitment, satisfaction and retention.
The Putnam is an organization with a strong, storied history in the
Quad Cities region . . . and is constantly creating a vibrant future.
In the next year, the Putnam team will:
Complete a $2.2 Million Capital Campaign and open the 10,000 s.f. STEM Learning Center within the current Museum space.
Open the Diana – A Celebration blockbuster exhibit in September 2013 serving as the third-to-last venue in the world to present the exhibit.
Host hundreds of eager young people for summer learning experiences ranging from Butterflies to Engineering.
Present three Hollywood Blockbuster films on the Giant Screen this summer.
Premier two - three Giant Screen documentaries.
Open the Pull-Apart Studio – a place for exploring “how things work”.
Host the 2nd Annual Mad Scientist Ball – a signature fundraising event.
Launch the Iowa hub of the National Girls Collaborative Project – an initiative directed at STEM gender equity.
Open CSI – The Experience blockbuster exhibit in early March 2014.
Host 20,000 school children and teachers for learning experiences.
